Office of the President

United States Of America

You know, I have been following this campaign pretty close. I have to say that I am totally appalled by both sides. What this country wants, is not the best man for the job, but a perfect man, for the job. I have to say this, no "perfect Man" exists, and if he did, he wouldn't want the job. The level of hypocrisy that resides in American politics is nothing short of historic. The level of division this is causing is almost futuristic.  The dehumanization on both sides, creating rifts in society that could draw parallels to the Civil War era. It's no wander, there exists a level of voter apathy, of it's not going to matter. When you can't find "a lesser of two evils" why try. I say this, not because it's my own opinion, but because I hear it more and more.

What people want - A person without flaw - One who has never made a mistake - One who has faced every "trial" that life could throw at you, and come out on top. One with a perfect voting record - One who has the business sense of King Midas - The Wisdom of King Solomon - The power of King Arthur- The feelings of the Corsican twins - The memory of an Elephant - The work ethics of a Donkey - The Foresight of Hindsight - Un-aging - Un-balding - One who is the poster child for the Worlds sexiest - No Mistakes ever.

What we get - Changing minds - Bad business - Bad Judgment - Ugly - Aging - Cheaters - Liars - Lawyers - Wealthy, but pompous - - - - Humans..

This is a tough one folks. Can the system be changed to allow the voice of the majority to be heard, or will it remain the ileitis individuals fat cat homophobes, that never have to worry about a hole in their pocket ...........................................- argh.

The way I see it. We have a two party system in this country, with strict party lines for each. If you step over you line, you never reach neutral ground, you cross into hostel territory. Does it need to be this way. I hate fanaticism, I think it breads hatred. On either side of the coin. If there was a way to get new ideas that didn't cross part lines and could be embarrassed by both sides i think we should look at it.

Like me, there are individuals out there that think, you can be for something and against something at the same time. Case in point "abortion". I personally don't agree with it, in terms of birth control, yet think that we have the technology and the common since to know that there are cases when it needs to occur. When could it occur: Incest, Rape, Heath issues for the mother ( were baby would die if it came to term.) these are my personal beliefs, and those of some close friends. But I do not think that because an individual has had an abortion that they are going to hell, I just hope I would never be faced with that decision. I am not a women, will I ever truly be faced with it.

My point is, why the lines - with the lines we create hostility, and who need that crap. there are ideas that don't belong in the "traditional" boxes we know as Republican, and democrat.

I think this whole Iraq thing is just a more overpowering undertone of our society, a catalyst for disaster.
