I  have two program that I want to recommend. They are both free and very useful to even the beginner.

The first program is from a company called Xteq they have actually changed the name of the software. Xteq X-Setup is now called XQDC X-Setup Pro

This software is very powerful and allows registry tweaks in all versions of windows - well, back to Win 95. - I highly recommend you at least take a look at it.

XQDC is totally spyware free, and powerful - please be careful  though

                                     - - - - - -

You should be able to click on the logo (X-Setup) and go directly to that sight for more info, and the Major Geeks logo to download the software.

Another program that find useful is called Regseeker and is stuffed full of very pertinent info  - I use it for cleaning my registry. Often times when you remove a program it leaves orphan entries that cause you system to load slower and work harder than it needs to. I have had no problems when using either program. This program can be downloaded by clicking on the Regseeker link hear - - ---> REGSEEKER

I hope you find these two freeware programs as useful as I have. I would like to hear from those who of you who have used them and who will  use them.

You may want to edit the title to say Tweak instead of Teak...

This is worse than the time I resurrected a post in which I made an ass of myself. This took 3.5 years to get a reply...lol.

BTW, I don't like teak tools, they don't work so good. Tools with teak handles maybe...

I am still using XTEQ on my computer...have XP. Have had it forever. It is a powerful program, but it does have a safe mode for making changes if you are not sure of what you are doing.
